Betadex

Cyclodextrins are have toroidal shapes, with the larger and the smaller openings of the toroid exposing to the solvent secondary and primary hydroxyl groups respectively.

Cyclodextrins are prepared by enzymatic treatment of starch. 

​

 It has a cavity at the center of the molecular arrangement and can thus form a stable insoluble inclusion complex. This helps improve the solubility of the API's
